VIII Международная конференция по когнитивной науке

VIIIth International Conference on Cognitive Science

СВЕТЛОГОРСК, РОССИЯ

SVETLOGORSK, RUSSIA

Greeting from the Chairman of the Organizing Committee ex-President IACS Yu. I. Alexandrov

As the chairman of the Organising Committee and vice-chairman of the Programme Committee I would like to wish all participants successful work!

Although the understanding of the term “cognitive” is highly variable, it is clear that addressing the problems of cognitive science must be based on joint efforts of philosophers, psychologists, linguists, specialists in informatics, neurophysiology etc. Cognitive science has always been an interdisciplinary area of knowledge. There is no doubt that the most effective approach to solving the most complex problems is multidisciplinary. This conference (Svetlogorsk, 2018), as well as the previous conferences (Kazan, 2004; St-Petersburg, 2006; Moscow, 2008; Tomsk, 2010; Kaliningrad/Svetlogorsk, 2012; 2014; 2016), serves the purpose of developing this multidisciplinary approach. Our success depends on each person putting an effort in understanding specialists from other disciplines and being understood by them. Our main goal is mutual understanding.
