The 8th International Conference on Cognitive Science is to be held in Svetlogorsk (the Kaliningrad region of Russia), Russia, October 18-21, 2018.

The conference is organized by:

  • the Interregional Association for Cognitive Studies (IACS), 
  • the Interregional foundation “Centre for the Development of Interpersonal Communication”,
  • the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and supported by the government of the Kaliningrad region. 

The conference continues a series of Conferences on Cognitive Science held in Kazan' (2004), St. Petersburg (2006), Moscow (2008), Tomsk (2010), Kaliningrad (2012, 2014) and Svetlogorsk (2016).

We expect about 350 participants, including 80 oral presentations and 200 posters.

The conference program will include lectures by leading experts in multidisciplinary cognitive studies.

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.

Abstracts should be submitted via the conference website (cogconf.ru) till April 15, 2018.

Dear participants! 

The conference is intended to provide a multidisciplinary forum for scientists exploring cognition and its evolution, intellect, thinking, perception, consciousness, knowledge representation and acquisition, language as a means of cognition and communication, brain mechanisms of cognition, emotion and higher forms of behavior. Psychologists, linguists, neuroscientists, computer scientists, philosophers, anthropologists, specialists in education, artificial intelligence, neuroinformatics and cognitive ergonomics, as well as other researchers interested in interdisciplinary research on cognition are invited to participate in the conference.

The conference program will include lectures by leading experts in multidisciplinary cognitive studies.

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.

There will be two formats of presentation: talks and posters. Accepted abstracts will be published by the beginning of the conference.

The planned registration fee is 3000 Russian rubles (about 55 USD or 45 EU).
